Jul 29, 2024| Whether it is nickel production or zinc production, an advanced technology - hydrometallurgy technology is widely used. In this process, the autoclave is the core equipment, and the autoclave level measurement is one of the most important parameters. So the question is: Can the radar liquid level sensor be used when measuring the liquid medium in the autoclave?

is fully capable of measuring the liquid level in the autoclave. High-frequency radar level gauges are almost unaffected by corrosion, water vapor, high temperature and high pressure. However, when choosing a suitable radar liquid level sensor, you need to pay attention to the following points:
1. When choosing an level gauge, the key is to consider the material of certain components. Since the liquid in the autoclave is corrosive, the antenna and some components of the radar level meter should be made of corrosion-resistant materials, such as PTFE.
2. Since the temperature in the autoclave may be as high as about 150 degree , a radar liquid level sensor model suitable for high temperature environment should be selected. Generally speaking, radar level meters are available in standard and high temperature types. The working temperature of the standard type is about 130 degree , while the high temperature type can reach about 250 degree .
3. Compared with guided wave radar level meters, non-contact level meters are more suitable for measuring liquid media in autoclaves. Non-contact radar level meters usually adopt an integrated design, which is easy to install, pollution-free and wear-free.
